When downloading from VS2010 JustCode-Check for new version:
- for two days an incomplete version was downloaded (9Mb instead of 17Mb)
- now it was downloaded and installed fine but tells that the version exired

Please double check.

Hello Miksh,

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry for the late reply. We investigated the issue. I guess you are aware that JustCode trial period is 60 days. It seems that your trial period has expired. There are two options - either you go on and buy it (then you won't have troubles with the expiration, also you will have support, and if you choose it - major versions update), or you can request additional trial period if this hasn't been enough. Please let me know what you will choose.

Best wishes,

We already have the subrcription and from time to time I use an internal build to eveluate the new version. You are right, in the beginning of this year some internal build expired but after that I was able to succesfully install several final & internal versions until this one. Now I have to rollback to July's release which seems to be very buggy, frozes VS very often and fails to provide referencial navigation.

Anyway, being your subscriber is there a way to evaluate the internal builds even if an previous internal biuld has expired?

Hello Miksh,

Thanks for the follow-up. You can download new internal builds with your active subscription (doesn't matter whether it is trial or development license) and then revert to an older one by uninstalling the new and installing again the old. We offer these internal builds to all our clients. Unfortunately the trial users are limited only to 60 days. And a small note - this trial period is for the whole use of JustCode, not only for one version or internal build. Please let me know if I understand you correctly or you need further help.

  • No problem to download both trial, internal build, and developer licence build from both Telerik website and VS2010 after checking for a new verison
  • No problem to install/uninstall a developer licence build
  • No problem to install/uninstall an internal build
  • WAS no problem to use any internal biuld before Aug 16 one
  • Once the Aug 16 internal biuld is succesfully installed it reports that JustCode expired.

If this is an issue in this internal build then I'm fine to wait a little.
If this would prevent me, as a your subscriber, from evaluating ANY of further internal builds then it is quite sad.

Hello Miksh,

Thanks again for following up. Could you please try and tell me whether you have the same problems running the internal build from Aug 16 with your other account - the one that has development license?

Kind regards,

The Aug 16 internal build taken from the dev licence account works! Thanks a lot.

To clarify: what version is suggested by VS2010 then while checking for a new internal build? Usually I used this one but should download from the account now.

Hello Miksh,

That's great news! VS 2010 JC add-in should suggest you the latest available internal build if you have checked the check-box "Include internal build when checking for updates" and you haven't install it yet. Actually we have just published new internal build (yesterday, Aug 30) and you should have received notification about it through VS 2010. Please let me know if you have.

Thanks. Btw, Visual Studio seems to download not a complete file - when I run the msi installer it tells that it's corrupted.
File size downloaded by VS - 28,835,840 bytes
File size downloaded from my account - 30,551,552 bytes.
I leave it to you to investigate/fix.
