Hi,
I'm evaluating MAP for Silverlight product for my company and I'm try to import a KML file that contains all world countries, but when i call the method KmlReader.Read(filename) a FormatException is raised ("Input string was not in a correct format."). Why? If I open this kml with Google Earth I have no problem.

Here is the link where you can download the kml that I'm using: http://rapidshare.com/files/309842466/WorldMap.kml.html

PS: could you give me some location where I could find some maps in kml format?

Thanks,
Carlo

Hi Carlo,

Thank you for the sample kml file. We have inspected it and the problem is related to the fact that it contains coordinates with altitudes. Unfortuntaly altitudes were not supported by the KmlReader in the Q3 release.

This problem will be fixed in the Q3 SP1 but for the time being you can download the hotfix from the "Latest Internal Builds" section in your Client.Net account.

As for sample maps in kml format -- you can check this link here for example.
