[Solved] Problem with filtering when first column has Auto as SizeMode

I have a grid whose first column has a SizeMode of Auto and supports filtering.

When you attempt to filter the column and the column width is less than the filter dialog then the dialog is truncated on the left and you cannot read the filtering options for example and you cannot see what you have entered. The dialog should presumably adjust its positioning to ensure it is visible.

Thank you for contacting us.

We have to admit that this is an issue with the Filtering UI. We have forwarded your report to our devteam for further review and consideration but unfortunately we will not be able to address the problem for the official service pack release that is scheduled around mid-July. As a workaround for the time being we can suggest you two options:

• Either ensure that the column width has a minimum size that fits the filtering dialog requirements.
• Or apply an implicit style with target type DataGridFilteringFlyout to reduce the MaxWidth property value of the filtering dialog.
