I've been using the MVC extensions on a recent project, but I need a simple panel extension, not an entire panel bar.  So, I added one to the Telerik MVC Extensions solution based on how the PanelBar extension works.

Since these extensions are open source is it possible to contribute user code to be reviewed and possibly added to the base?

Thanks,
Matt Penner

Hi Matt Penner,

Currently we cannot accept contributions since we lack a proper license agreement for that. What you can do is open a new code library sending the required files and a sample project showing how to use that. That way you could still contribute and users can benefit from your extension.

Hi Matt,

I was thinking about building an extension for a panel too.  Mine is going to have a title and a hideable panel and hook into the Telerik current theme.   Did you ever post your solution anywhere?

Hi Andy,
Our project had to get out the door quickly so I ended up just using single panel PanelBars.  I as well tried to base mine mainly off the original PanelBar code but it isn't finished.

If you can make an extension that would be great.  I had a problem in that I had to override too much of their code when I tried to do it in a separate project.  This is why I was looking just to add it to the actual code base.

I may revisit it soon.  If I do, and you haven't finished yours yet, I'll post the code.

Thanks,
Matt
