Hi

I have seen on the roadmap that you are going to support "Portable Silverlight ObjectCntainer – After Q2 2010 we will port the ObjectContainer to be compatible with Silverlight or we will develop from scratch similar client-caching solution "

I'm not sure what is Portable Silverlight ObjectContainer... Can you explain it??? Also how is this going to afect the Siverlight suport of OA??

Thanks!

Hi Iosu Buenetxea,
The ObjectContainer is our disconnected data storage and it is compiled for regular .NET 2.0 Framework. What we mean is to provide a data-store on the client that can handle the entities and then transport the changes back to the server. This will augment greatly the scenario where you want to use plain WCF services and not a framework like WCF Data Services or WCF Ria Services. In someway you can thing of this as of 'datacontext on the client'. Please ask any questions you might have regarding such a solution because  we really need you feedback to perfect things further.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Ok I see now. On our application we want to have OOB, so we will need "disconnected data storage " and Merge estrategie.. So I think this new feature is going to be a "NEED"...

Do you think?

We are actualy Evaluatin Idea Blade DF.. They have this funcionality..

It would be nice to have a Comparation Chart Between OA a DF.
Thanks!
Iosu

Also waiting for the new version (I hope you have it tomorrow) with full support for VS2010 and silverlight.. :-)

Hello Iosu Buenetxea,
Yes we will provide comparison between OA and EF after 25th of May (probably the same week).
Regarding the disconnected store, actually I would say it is a MUST :).

I am not sure however that we will be able to release today - we still have the installation problems and we are working on them.

Kind regards,
