If you enter a phrase to search by and click entry you get all the issues containing that phrase for the selected value of "Scheduled for". If you change the "Scheduled for" value the search box is emptied so you have to retype it.

The behavior you observed is by design. However, you are not the first one to find it rather confusing and we will probably change it in one of the coming updates.
