I am in the planning phase for a large enterprise system. I like both the silverlight and the ajax controls. I like the silverlight option because of its compatibility with wpf, but I still want to make the right decision for  the web portion of the application.

Do you have any information or suggestions on the following topics?

1. Are load times comparable in the web browser for silverlight controls and ajax controls?
2. Has anyone in the community observed web users either really liking or really not liking silverlight controls (having to get the plug-in etc..)
3. If I do choose the asp ajax method for the web, how much code reuse (in general) will I have when creating the desktop app? (they are exactly the same in look and functionality).

I will be using the entity framework for asp.net

No answers yet. Maybe you can help?
