Hi Patric Svensson,

Telerik Grid for ASP.NET MVC uses a LINQ-based expression engine. This allows it to request from the database only the relevant data - the current page, filtered, sorted and grouped. In order for this to work you need a capable LINQ provider - Entity Framework, Linq To SQL, Telerik OpenAccess etc.
