When you select value from list or type it into ComboBox, then correct value is posted.
But when you paste it into ComboBox, then previous value is posted.
This relates to IE (at least IE7) and Chrome. In Firefox everything is ok.

Thank you for drawing our attention to this issue.
Q3 2010 (2010.3.1110) version does not support pasting. Nevertheless I am glad to inform you that it is already implemented and it will be available with the next official release of Telerik Components for ASP.NET MVC.
For your convenience I have attached modified telerik.combobox.js, where pasting is supported.

Javascript you attached helped with pasting values in Chrome.
Unfortunately it still doesn't work at IE7
