In the current version (2010.2.825) clicking on a panel heading permanently changes the colour of the panel heading.

This is a known JavaScript problem which we have fixed. I am sending you the updated file. You need to replace the existing telerik.panelbar.min.js in your Scripts/2010.2.825 folder.
