Hello,
First of all i thank you for giving a chance to try your products for potential customers like us.

My company needs a web based rich textbox editor so bad. We need way more than simple html editors. Our customers need to create ms word-like documents and attributes of this document (like size, font, margins ..) are defined by government laws and our customers must follow those rules.

In my first attepms on your nice silverlight tool i was almost satisfied. But then, i realised that there is one big problem for us. In your rich text editor (with Print Layout view) document content is different than exported docx document.( Just tried the document in online demo section and i clicked your Telerik Symbol-> Save As-> Word Document ) . Its so important for us to see same output on both  rte-editor and local word application. Thats why we are looking for alternative rich text editor better than html editors. (Users complain that they have to check document for page layout on local word application(e.g. ms office) after any changes in web editor, they hate it when they cant decide where the first page ends and the second starts. Because they need to put special things at the end of the page defined by laws.. And inserting page break is not the solution. Point which user insert page break may still exceed one page size )

Do you have any solution for this size mismatch problem? (I hope you have)

Thanks in advance.

Hello Sükrü Kemal,

The layout of flow documents like docx determines the position of a given word through complex calculations taking into account may factors, like paper size, margins, paragraph margins, font size and weight and so on. Even though we are trying to make RadRichTextBox layout and display documents as closed to MS Word as possible there are very small differences coming mostly from the way MS Word and Silverlight measure string size and rounds numbers.

If you notice any differences in the documents of how they appear in RadRichTextBox and MS Word in terms of font/size, margins and so on, please let us know and we can correct these issues.

In your case the best approach would be to use page breaks along with greater paper size (or smaller page margins) to ensure there would be enough room on the page for the text to squeeze in the MS Word layout.

Let us know if we can help with anything else.

Kind regards,
Mike
