Hello,
I am trying to use the Visual Designer to generate a model against a FireBird Database. After adding the OpenAccess Domain Model item template (*.rlinq), the Data Connection Dialog pops up and request to Setup Database Connection. After choosing the Backend, which is FireBird in my case, I'm stuck and cannot proceed further. When trying to create a New Connection, I get options for only SQL Server, Oracle and SQL CE but not for FireBird !!! The Connection String textbox is Read-Only. I thought that even if the FireBird Connection could not be created through New Connection wizard, I could simply paste my Connection String in the TextBox, but can't. The Connection String Name textbox is writeable.

Am I missing a step here?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Yas,

I recommend that you read this article which demonstrates how to add the Firebird .NET provider to the New Connection wizard database providers.
I hope this helps. If any other questions arise do not hesitate to write again.
