Is it possible to get OpenAccess ORM to work with Dynamic Data in .NET 3.5? I really like the the ability to template your controls and then late Dyanmic Data worry about rendering your objects and how to edit them.

Thanks,
  Josh

Hello Joshua Kent,
So far we didn't invested the needed resources into supporting the Dynamic Data Technology out of the box. We are planning on doing development into this area after the Q3 release, which is a week away.

Thanks for your team's work towards integration with DynamicData.  Can you give an update on the status and possibly a timeline?  Our development team is currently evaluating ORMs (we're moving from NetTiers) and DynamicData integration is a key component.

We were getting excited about the Entity Framework, but through some testing with VS2010 Beta 2 and .NET 4 we've found that there's still a lot to be worked out before it's ready for prime time (at least in our environment).

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan McCoy,
We are currently starting the research phase for this project. We are into talks with the DynamicData team at MS, so that we can have their experience into implementing the OpenAccess support for DynamicData. I believe it is too early to point at a specific development time-frame - we can do so right after our research phase, which will give us the confidence that we can do something real for you. I expect that the research phase will continue at least 2 weeks. Possibly we will be able to provide you guys with something in the period 2 weeks - one month from now, but as I said this is just a best guess. And of course we will communicate to you any changes in the status of the project asap. Hope that works for you.

Kind regards,

Hi,

I'm really keen to implement Dynamic Data functionality within a web app. Is this supported in the latest OpenAccess ORM 2009 Q3 release or can you provide details of where this may appear in your roadmap please?

Many Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark Broomfield,

Currently the latest release of the Telerik OpenAccess ORM does not support the Dynamic Data. However it is in our to-do list and we will implement support for DynamicData after our Q1 release.

Best wishes,

I was curious as to whether Dynamic Data support has been added yet to the Telerik OpenAccess ORM, and this seems like the right place to ask. Can you please let me know if Dynamic Data support has been implemented?

Hi Joseph DeMilo,

Currently we do not provide support for Dynamic Data but it is part of our todo list. We will try to target the support for Dynamic Data for our next release.
