The item preview template is only shown for a fraction of a second.. Is it possible to show it until the larger image is loaded, and if yes how can I do it? I'm using it the same way as in the example by the way.

I'm not sure that I fully understand what the issue here is. If you're loading your images from the XAP of your application, it is normal for the preview template to show just for a fraction of a second. Could you please explain in more details what your scenario is where you are loading your images from. I'd be glad to further assist you.

Thank you for clarifying your scenario. Now I understand what you're actually trying to achieve. Unfortunately, this scenario is not yet supported by RadSlideView. The ItemPreviewTemplate is used mainly in scenarios that involve the AdjacentItemsPreviewMode property. Currently, RadSlideView does not have a mechanism to determine if there is an Image control inside its ItemPreviewTemplate and whether this Image has finished loading.
However, we think that the scenario you described should be supported by RadSlideView (i.e. the ItemPreviewTemplate should hide itself only after the image inside of the ItemTemplate has finished loading). I've logged this request in our tracking system and as soon as we prioritize it we will start working on it. Meanwhile, if you have further questions or comments, don't hesitate to contact us.
