We've developed 3 different apps using Icenium so far.  In all 3 cases, when I install on my iPhone 5 using iOS 7.x I end up with an odd double icon.  One in like a generic gray thing that shows up as it's installing, then the actual app icon shows up next to.  I've tried deleting the generic install one but can't.  Even after a phone reboot it remains.   I'd attach a screenshot but the forum attach files function is apparently broken (tried in IE, Chrome and Firefox).

Anyone seen this behavior and know how to fix it?

Thanks!

Hi,

The only way we manage to reproduce your problem is by following these steps :

 1. Build with AddHoc Provision.

 2. Copy generated link.

 3. Change Application Identifier in project properties

 4. Remotely install application from link copied in previous steps

So if this is not your case, please provide us with following information.

Which Icenium client are you using?

Which provision type are you using for build?

We will appreciate it if you list the steps you follow to deploy the application.

Ah, good catch.  The app identifier in the plist file in the download link didn't match what was in the project.  I updated it and it appears to have installed correctly.  Thanks much!

Now, any idea how to get rid of the extra gray icons?  I can delete the app icons but not these.  Tried both on the phone and through iTunes.  Tried restarting the phone.  Hoping I don't have to do a restore.

Thanks again!

Hi,

You could try to create new application with the same application identifier you used on the hanged application and then build and deploy it on your devices.

If you still experience any issues, please write us back.
