Hi,
I am facing an issue while adding an Webaii test into the TestProject solution. Once I add the Webaii test , the Design Canvas starts and ArtOfTest Activation wizard dialog appears. Since I am using the trial version of WebUI Test Studio (WebUITestStudio_2009.3.1210_trial.msi), I select the option "I want to continue my trial of Design Canvas" with my email address specified at the time of registration. However, the moment I select the Next button in the wizard, an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" occurs. Ideally, the recorder should appear after this step. Please help to resolve this issue.

Hello Meeta,
We appreciate you evaluating WebUI Test Studio and I'm sorry that you ran into this problem.
Can you reply back with which version of Visual Studion version you have: Professional Edition or a specific Team System version (Team Suite, Architecture, Development, Database,Test)?
Also, can you let us know what version of Windows you are running?

I am using Visual Studio Team System 2008 Test Edition Version 9.0.30729.1 SP and Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3.

Hi Meeta,
Thanks for the extra information. Would it be possible for you to send a project with a test added after you get the error? We would like to check it out on this end.
Also, if possible, please try uninstalling the product from the WebUI start menu shortcut and try reinstalling the product. We are also investigating the problem and will definitely let you know with what we find.

Hi Nelson,
Thanks for your reply. As suggested by you, I tried to reinstall the product after uninstalling it. I have tried it almost four times but in vain. To my observation, when I add a Webaii test to my TestProject, the Webaii.resx file is not created, may be due to this reason I am getting an error "Object reference not set to an instance of object". I am not sure about this. I am not able to attach the zip folder of my TestProject as it says "Please upload valid files of .jpg, .gif, .jpeg, .png", I tried to change the extension of my zip folder to .jpg and upload, but was not able to do so. Please suggest me how should i mail you the attachment?

Also, does you user account have Administrator privileges? And if so, do you know if there are any security restrictions or do you have full admin access to the machine?
