Are there any plans to publish NuGet packages for the Telerik Silverlight and WPF controls?

Thanks,
Nabil

Hello Nabil Shuhaiber,

We have not fully considered the option and I cannot engage with a timeframe. We will be looking into that option and if it appears to be feasible we may take advantage of it.

I now see NuGet installations available, but they contain only the SL5 and WPF versions each in their own NuGet packages. Any plans to put both versions in a single NuGet package so multi-targeted projects can take advantage?

Hello,

Thank you for writing.

Making the setup of multi-targeted projects easier is definitely a good idea. I am not sure that the NuGet package manager supports the scenario, though. It would be extremely helpful if you could name a library that is set up the way you are suggesting and share how you are using it.

Could you elaborate a bit on how your multi-targeted projects are set up?

Kind regards,

There are TONS of libraries set up like that. Look at the Prism NuGet package. It ships with both SL and WPF versions in the same package. Upon installation, NuGet decides which reference to create in your project based on it's target framework. Not only is all of this possible, my team has created Telerik packages for all of your libraries and included both SL and WPF versions in each. This is how we reference Telerik SL and WPF versions in our multi-targeted projects.

Thank you for elaborating.

I now understand the request and can confirm it makes perfect sense. I've logged it for consideration.

All the best,
