Hi

I have followed the blog post on Using UI for Xamarin in Visual Studio for Mac and successfully added and logged on to the Telerik NuGet source. However I do not see any packages under this source.

Could someone please help

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

The UI for Xamarin packages won't appear in the initial list, you'll need to search for "Xamarin" in the package manager's search box.

I've just checked from my end and it does appear in the search results list. If it still doesn't for you, please review the steps here to confirm your package source is set up correctly. You can also remove and re-add the package source to ensure your log in credentials are accurate.

License Related Issues

If you're using a different account to log into the Telerik Nuget server, you'll need to make sure that account has a license to the product. This would also be a reason you're not seeing the product in the list. You need to be assigned as the Licensed User of the product in order for it to be in your list of available products

It is a common scenario where a company or other person has purchased the product, but someone one else is the developer using the product.  Whomever owns the license you're using can quickly add you as the Licensed User by going to the Manage Licensed Users portal. They only need your email address and it only takes a few seconds.

Here are the steps:
1 - Go to the Manage Licensed Users portal
2 - Using your email address, add you as a Licensed User
3 - Remove themselves from the product license and add you instead (I've attached a screenshot)

NOTE: Although they remove themselves as the Licensed User, they still own the product and can change the user as often as they need to.

Let me know if you have any further trouble, I'll investigate further.

Lance

Thank you for the prompt reply. However, I am using the only Telerik account I have to log onto the NuGet server and even when I search for Xamarin I see no packages, Maybe I am missing something , can i get access to the package for a trail using this method as I have not purchased a license yet ?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steven,

Currently your account is marked as not having even a trial license although I can see you've downloaded the files. This is why you're not seeing a package.

This can be resolved by calling the sales people, they can assign the trial license to your account. Here are the phone numbers:

USA: +1 888 365 2779
UK: +44 20 7382 4450

In the meantime, you can download the nuget package yourself from here. If that link doesn't work for you, then unfortunately the license issue will need to be fixed first.

If it's time critical thing that needs to be done tonight, you can just create a new Telerik account using a different email address, signing in, downloading the UI for Xamarin Trial from here. (it's important you are signed in when you download the trial, that's how the trial license gets assigned).

Let me know if you have any further trouble after sales fixes your license problem.

Hello Ivan,

So that all cultures can communicate on common ground, we use English as the official language for the support system and forums.

For your convenience, I have translated your post into English:

Hi all, currently I am using a free license of 30 days and I do not show any nuget to install, and and review and everything is installed perfectly, greatly appreciate your help

In order to see Telerik NuGet packages, you need to be connected to the Telerik NuGet server (go here to learn how to connect to the server). Once you're connected, and you've entered your credentials, you should be able to see results for a search for "Telerik.UI.For.Xamarin.Trial" NuGet package

Here's an example of that search (notice that I have the Telerik source selected, it could also be set to "All"):

NOTE
I checked your account and see that you just activated the license today. There can sometimes be a small delay between getting your license activated and when the databases propagate that license (including the NuGet server). Try again.

If you have any further trouble, please open a support ticket here and we'll investigate further.

Hello Yasser,

It can take 20-30 minutes for the NuGet server to sync up to the licensing server. If you just started the trial, and then immediately tried to find the package, it wouldn't show up in a search result yet.

If you still don't see the "Telerik.UI.for.Xamarin.Trial" package after 30 minutes, then you can download the nupkg file from your product downloads page until the servers sync up.
