Yeah, my title is awful for this thread.
In my project I have unselected ALLpermissions for android. When I install the app it then comes up with a list of permissions the app uses (maybe all) , like access to contacts, phone, etc. If I add a single permission and install the app again, only that permission shows.
Does my description make sense?

Hi Frank,
Thank you for bringing this problem to our attention, we verified it and logged it in our system for fixing.
Clearly as this is a border test case, to avoid such problem always specify explicitly the permissions you would like your application to have. Have in mind that your app would always need some permissions depending whether you build in Release or Debug, you can find more info here.
