Nesting RadDocking Causes Exception

Hello,

I am using version 2011.3.2008.1050 of Telerik controls in Silverlight application.

I stumbled across the nested docking issue when I tried to add a RadDocking inside the parent RadDocking's pane. A build error says nesting RadDocking is not supported in this version. I tried adding the AllowUnsafeMode="True" property which allowed it build successfully. But when I try to  drag the child RadDocking' pane it throws an exception.

I have created a sample to demonstrate the actual problem; please see the attached screenshot of sample and exception. I'll highly appreciate if you can help me resolve this issue.

NOTE: Upgrading the version of the Telerik Controls is not an option for me, please.

Hello Arfan,

Nested RadDocking has been introduced with our Q1 2014 release. In previous versions of our controls such scenarios are not supported - that is the reason a NotSupportedException is thrown. Setting the AllowUnsafeMode property to "True" handles that, but it leads to unexpected behavior and that is why we do not recommend using it. Unfortunately, there is no workaround to be suggested in this particular case.
