Already saw the post about adding the column via "Customized Columns"

So I did:

Customized Columns>Collection>Session Timers

then

Timer Name>ClientBeginRequest

However it only shows the time and does not show the date. I need the date for when something particular happens with my browser connections, and I am not in front of my computer every minute.

Hi CJ,

The Session Timers > ClientBeginRequest column only displays the time ( HH:mm:ss.fff ). Fiddler Classic has no option in the Customize Columns dialog to change this format or add the date.

Here are two ways to get the date:

1. No scripting: use the response Date header
Add another custom column the same way you did before, with these settings:

• Collection: Response Headers
• Header Name: Date

It shows the full timestamp from the server, e.g.  Fri, 30 Oct 2026 12:33:43 GMT . Note that it's in GMT and is the server's time. Some responses, such as cached 304s or tunnels, may not include it.

2. FiddlerScript: stamp the local date and time on each session

1. Go to Rules > Customize Rules….
2. Add this inside  OnBeforeRequest :
oSession["ui-comments"] = DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss");
3. Save the script. The built-in Comments column will now show the full date and time for every new session.

If you'd rather have a dedicated column, try adding this inside Main() :
FiddlerObject.UI.lvSessions.AddBoundColumn("DateTime", 120, "X-DateTime");

Then use oSession["X-DateTime"] = DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss");  in  OnBeforeRequest  instead of the  ui-comments  line.

Also, if you only need the dates afterward, File > Export > Selected Sessions (HTML, CSV, or HAR) keeps the full date and time for each session.

Hope this helps!
