I am trying to install the MVC 3 extensions (the controls) by doing the following from within VS 2010:
How do I get the controls into the toolbox? This was the way I always used to do it before...
I attached another picture that shows the extension is installed within Visual Studio.
- Tools
- Choose Toolbox Items
- Browse to the following location & file
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\Extensions for ASP.NET MVC Q1 2011\Binaries\Mvc3\Telerik.Web.Mvc.dll
Then, the attached msg appears.

This is expected. Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC are not WebControls and therefore cannot be installed in toolbox. I suggest you check the installation instructions help topic as well as the getting started one.
