[Solved] Multi row select with ctrl key

Hi,

I have set the selection mode of my grid view to be multiple ... And hence each time I click on a row , it gets selected ... But I would prefer multiple rows to get selected only in combination with the 'ctrl' key...  Is there any property of the grid view which helps in accomplishing this..?

I am not quite sure what you mean by "only in combination with the 'ctrl' key". May you please elaborate a little bit? By default when you hold the Ctrl key you have to click on the rows which you want to be selected and they become selected. In case you need to predefine the default keyboard navigation you have to create your own CustomKeyboardCommandProvider as it is described at the following blog post.

The situation which you have said here is what I  actually wanted... I want to be able to select multiple rows with ctrl key.. But by default, the rows are getting selected just with mouse selections ... I want them to get selected with ctrl key...

Hi Ramyashree,

The desired behavior can be achieved by setting SelectionMode to Extended. More info about Selection functionality can be found here.
