In a first step I moved entities to a new diagram. Now I need do move some additional entities to this already existing diagram. As far as I can see, entities can only be moved to new diagrams, but not to an existing one.

Is there any way to find a solution for this?

Hello Andreas,

Currently, moving classes between existing diagrams is performed by dragging-and-dropping a given class from Model Object Explorer (Types node) to the opened target diagram. This documentation article contains a visual example of that process.

Additionally, the enhancement of the context menu with the option you are looking for is in our backlog and once it is implemented we will release it.

I hope that helps. If you have other questions, do not hesitate to get back to us.

Thank you, this helps. It's no problem to do it manually.

But please note: it works fine with entities, but it doesn't work with interfaces. Interfaces cannot be copied to a diagram with drag-and-drop. Maybe there is another solution for interfaces?

Hello Andreas,

Thank you for the feedback.

Indeed, in version Q1 2013 of OpenAccess ORM dragging-and-dropping interfaces from Model Object Explorer on the surface of Visual Designer is not possible. It is in our TODO list, however, and is scheduled for release with our Q2 2013 version.

Currently, I would suggest to you the following workaround:
1) Open the diagram that holds the interface
2) Right-click on the interface and select Organize Classes / Move To New Diagram
3) Enhance the newly created digram as needed
4) Save the .rlinq file

I hope you find that feasible. If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to get back to us.

Kind regards,
