Hi,

I have the following scenario:

I record a test in IE that opens a modal dialog, verifies some content and then closes the modal dialog. When I then execute the test everything works great in IE, but when executing i FF i get the following error in the error report:

"2010-08-13 09:41:38' - 'Pass' : 8. Connect to modal pop-up window : modaltesttitle"
"2010-08-13 09:41:40' - Log: Unexpected dialog encountered. Taking no action."

I noticed that the title on the modal window differs depending on browser used so I tried to edit the title to be correct in regards to FF. (ModalPopopPartialCaption). This did not help.

Any ideas?

/Joppen

Hello Joakim,

I am unable to repro this problem using our latest internal build, 2010.2.806. Can you try this build and let me know what happens?

All the best,

Hi Cody

Using the latest build did sadly not help me.

I am still getting:

'2010-08-16 08:25:31' - Log: Unexpected dialog encountered. Taking no action.'

The window is opened using showModalDialog(). I also have problems recording the connect to modal window step. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

Any ideas?

Edit: I created a small sample application instead of using the large application under test and got good results. I will have to look for differences in application code and get back to you. :)
