I downloaded the RC1 Zip but when I try to add the controls to the toolbox in VS2008 as per the instructions, I get "Couldn't load file or assembly "Telerik.Windows.Data"

Is that a missing DLL?

I have the same problem when following the documentation for installing into the toolbox.  No solutions as yet?

I was following the documentation for adding the RadControls to the Visual Studio 2008 Toolbox...

To add Telerik RadControls for Silverilght to the Toolbox manually and to be able to easily deploy the components in Design mode, follow the steps below:

  1. Open your application in Visual Studio 2008.
  2. Expand the Toolbox.
  3. Expand the General Section.

  4. Right-click in the General section and open Choose Items.

  5. On the Silverlight Components tab, click Browse.

  6. Browse to the Telerik RadControls for Silverlight installation folder, open the Binaries folder and select the Telerik.Windows.Controls.dll, Telerik.Windows.Controls.Input.dll, Telerik.Windows.Controls.MediaPlayer.dll, Telerik.Windows.Controls.Navigation.dll or Telerik.Windows.RadUploadHandler.dll. The Binaries folder is located in the folder where the installation files have been unzipped

Step 6 is where I have the problem. Is there something else I need to do?

Hi Eric;

After posting my message last night, I did the same steps and got error. But Today Valentin, confirmed that they will fix that.

However, One thing I found it to be odd, is that, I could not select more than one item. I wonder if that caused the problem!

Hi All,

Yesterday we updated the RadControls for Silverlight downloads and now all assemblies are in place :)

I am sorry for all inconveniences caused by our omission.

Kind regards,
