Please see my attached screenshot.

I just created a small test app in your standard metro theme which has a simple grid filled with the most basic controls:

- Label (Telerik, not System)
- RadButton
- RadWatermarkTextBox
- RadDateTimePicker
- RadComboBox
- ListBox (Metro styles applied)
- ScrollViewer (Metro styles applied)

Each component is added in various combinations of its states (normal, disabled, readonly, disabled + readonly, watermarked, ...). Looking at the results there are some inconsistencies bothering me. Of course I could copy 1000 lines of XAML control templates and change/fix the stuff needed too make this look more professional. But I thought this might be of a more general interest. However, if it is supposed to look like this (I don't hope so) I'll probably have to go this way.

Any comments are appreciated.

Hi Stephan,

Thanks for the great feedback and the effort you put in providing it.
As much as I hate to admit it you are absolutely right about all the inconsistencies and we will be quick on fixing them right after the Q3 release.

Great to hear this, thank you. Just one question: "right after the Q3 release" means in the beginning of december? any chance to have an internal build earlier?

Hi Stephan,

Well ... it's a process. As you are well aware there are internal builds every week and we will be pushing fixes in them until we are done.

As much as I want to give you specifics on when all the fixes will be finalized, I am unable to do so before inspecting what is wrong. We do have alot of controls and we do use all of the ones you mentioned inside other controls. We have to make sute they work as expected as well. What I can say for sure is that we will start reviewing the theme right after the release and we will take it from there.

I hope this is good enough.

Kind regards,

Have these issues been fixed yet? I' still seeing the exact same behavior for the WaterMarkTextBox when the scrollviewer metro theme is applied globally.

Hi,

RadWatermarkTextBox was made public only recently and there are still glitches in its themes. We are working on fixing them and deliver a properly looking control. We will do our best to have all themes of the controls reviewed and fixed for our Q2 release.

I can only hope the wait will be worth it.

Thank you for the update. I am finding little inconsistencies between controls in the metro theme. Hopefully the update will take care of these theme inconsistencies.
