We're evaluating Telerik's SL control library and we are in need of a masked textbox, which you currently do not have.  However, Component One does have this.  Are there any plans in the near future to implement a masked textbox?

Hi,

We don't have masked input in our immediate plans for development, e.g. it will not be available in the upcoming major release of RadControls for WPF and Silverlight this November. However, it is a frequently requested control, so we will definitely to consider it for development for Q1 2009, due in the beginning of the next year.

Are there any plans to have the functionality of all RadControls for ASP.NET in the Silverlight controls as well? I am pretty sure that 100% port of the controls is not possible but having all of the controls and 90% of their functionality ported shall make life easier for us, given that we are planning to port our existing ASP.NET application that uses RadControls to Silverlight in 2009.

Hi,

What's the functionality that you are looking for in RadControls for Silverlight, that is present in RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX ? Our ultimate goal is to provide the same functionality in all platform suites, but unfortunately this cannot happen instantly. If you are asking about the masked input controls, I must say that they are on our schedule and most probably we will be able to provide them for Q1 or shortly after that in both RadControls for Silverlight and WPF.
