Hi,

We're using the Visual Designer to do our mapping and I've come across a scenario where I'd like to include a table from a different database (on the same MsSql server) in my model. I've found this page which suggests something like this used to be possible in classic OpenAccess, but I can't find a way to do this through the current Visual Designer. Is there a way to do this, either through the Visual Designer or by manually editing the Rlinq file?

Hello Jakkie,

Indeed such a scenario was supported with the classic API of Telerik Data Access. Currently, Visual Designer does not allow it. The reasons for this decision were the need of manually performed changes on one side (which makes the approach error prone), and the inability to introduce support about it for all backends, on the other side.

Do let us know, if you have further questions.
