Hi Dragan,
Thank you for your interest in our RadControls for Metro.
We do not have plans for implementing our own RadMap control at this point. We will need to research what Bing Maps for WinRT will have to offer, what the demand for a custom map control would be and how Bing Maps can help in this situation. This of course in no way means that we will not add our own component, we just need some time for a research.

Thank you for your reply. I am familiar with the Bing Map control, having used the Silverlight version of it in the past. However, I am currently using your Silverlight map control and I would pick it over the Bing one any day. The support for multiple providers and the clean api lends itself for creating custom applications very easily. Plus, your support model and commitment to every platform you support (without strategy shifts) is unprecedented and I have decided to stay away from MIcrosoft's controls for my projects (Silverlight toolkit anyone). I have a need for a map control in my current project for Win8 and the only suitable control I could find was from ComponentArt. I was delaying the purchase decision until I see what is coming from you guys since I've used your controls for years and your suite has always been my first choice. I understand your need for more time to research the capabilities and demand and I greatly appreciate your transparency in discussing the road map. I am still a few months away from having to make the decision, so I'll be checking your product offering at that time to see if anything has changed.

Looks like Infragistics has one available. Would really like to see the Telerik map control available for Windows 8 and possibly Windows 8 Phone.
