We are having a similar problem to a previous post - we have created and applied custom styles to RadPanes and RadPaneGroups, but when as soon as they are floated out of their intial positions, they lose their custom styles and are rest to the defaults.
I've attached 3 screenshots that show the problem. In the first one, the pane docked to the right has a custom style applied to it. When it is both floated out in 2 and re-docked in 3, it has lost its custom style. (I have a sample project, but couldn't attach it as it wants an image only, let me know where to send it and I can forward it. )
I have tried intercepting all the events to see if the style can be programmatically applied as you float out the window, and can't see how it is possible. The ElementLoaded event isn't fired when the panes are floated, as was suggested in an earlier post. i have output all the dock controls events to a listbox as they are raised, and it doesn't fire.
We are using Silverlight 3, Telerik.Windows.Controls.Docking version: 2010.1.309.1030

Ah ok, I get it, use theming?

You are right, you have to use a custom theme for the Docking control to keep the desired styles of the Panes.
