Hello Chris,

If you are using LiveSync does this error show in "Log" pane in Graphite - the left-most button at the bottom right part of the window?

In case you are using "Sync on Demand" (three finger sync in iOS, menu button sync in Android), could you answer us some questions so that we can diagnose the problem.

Do you see some specific error on the screen of your device when you try to sync changes?
Judging from what you have written, I assume that it was working before. Is this the case?
Do you remember if anything was changed on the device before it stopped working?
What is your device connectivity - is it connected to a WiFi and does it have access to http://www.icenium.com?

Answering all these questions will help us understand better your case so that we can assist you.

You could try removing and deploying the your application again. This might fix any temporary glitches which could have happened.

Kind regards,

I am having the same issue, sync on demand doesn't appear to update my android app.  I have been doing a lot of restyling of the app over the past week and I wanted to see how the changes look on my android device, but I can't get the current version of the code to show up.

When I hit the menu button, the 'please wait' dialog pops up and then disappears and the page refreshes, but it is an old version of the code.  I have tried it on 2 devices, have uninstalled and installed the app, but nothing appears to fix it.

Hi David,

Could you please tell us what is your device and Android version? Right now LiveSync doesn't work as expected when deployed on Android 4.2 devices in some cases.

All the best,

Hi Yavor,
I think my problem was related to my project in icenium, I exported my project and imported it into a new 'project' and it seems to work fine now.  Before I was working with 2 android phones, a T-Mobile G2 (sometimes reveferred to HTC vision) running cyanogen mod 7 (ginger bread), and a stock Samsung Nexus S.  If you like I can specify the project name so that you can look at it behind the scenes.

If I had to guess what broke it, I attempted to link my project to an internal git repository we have on site where I work, that the tools were not able to access, I couldn't revert the change (or at least emptying the text box in the repository dialog wouldn't validate).  This may have been what was causing my problems (oddly though the ios apps would still update on both iphone 5, 6 and the first ipad).

Hi David,

I'm not sure the git remote should impact the build process and LiveSync in any way, especially if it was working on iOS devices. Was the old project targeting Cordova 2.0 or Cordova 2.2?

Hi Yavor,
I had just transitioned from 2.0 to 2.2 when it stopped working.  For the android phone I had to re-install the app (update would pull down the 2.2 version when a 2.0 was previously install and I got an error message).  After I re-installed the application was when I noticed that the forced update on android was not working (unfortunately there were several days between the update and when I was attempting to run this on the phones, so I can't say that this is what immediately caused the issue).

My Icenium's LiveSync also does not work.
I am using iPod Touch 5th generation with iOS 6.0.1.
I tried to refresh my app by 3 finger tap, but nothing happens.
This feature used to work for me.
Now, I have to connect my iPod to computer and hit save to refresh my app.

Hi Michael,

Have you renamed your project by any chance? Also, have you tried deleting your app and deploying it again?

Hello Michael,

In this case, could you please tell me what version of Cordova are you using?

Hi Michael,

Could you please right-click the first node in the Project Navigator and choose Build Settings and make sure that "Active Build Configuration" is either blank or "Debug".

The "Release" build configuration strips out all Icenium-specific bits from your app's binary, so that might be a reason why LiveSync is not working for you.

I just figured out that LiveSync only works when I upload the project with using the QR code.
But, when I upload from the Icenium Graphite, LiveSync does not work.

Hello Michael,

Could you please send a screenshot of the QR code to support@icenium.com so that I can test the app manually?
