Hello, I need to build a command structure diagram for military model. There are several relation types which has priority among other. And there are some relations that does not indicate superiority.

For example, a unit can have multiple commander, and one is imported than other in military. Consider a unit donated to to other country unit, it is under the command of the new unit for operational or tactical level. But the full command is belong to its national commander. So Full command comes first. And there are relations that does not imply superiority like Supporting relation. These is the case when some units support others. They want to see them in the same level of command diagram.

In other words, I have graph but I need to layout it as it is Topdown tree. Customer is aware of that for some certain cases, It is not possible but, at leats they expect supporting unit is replaced at the same level with the supporting unit (Only if nodes have no other relations to avoid this.)

Can you please suggest a way to provide this?

Hello Barış,

I am not sure that I completely understand your requirement. Can you please send me drawings that demonstrate the expected result and some sample data? This will help me in better understanding your case and assist you further. In the meantime you can check the Layout help article and see if this feature works for you.

Regards,
Martin
