JustMock on Windows 10 Preview Unit Test

Hi,

I want to use JustMock Lite on Windows 10 SDK Preview:  Unit Test App - UAP.

"Install-Package : Could not install package 'JustMock 2015.1.224.3'. You are trying to install this package into a project that targets '.NETCore,Version=v4.5.1', but the package does not contain any assembly references or content files that are compatible with that framework. For more information, contact the package author."

Does anybody manage to re-build JustMock and use it in Win 10 Preview?

Hi Janez,

We will have to investigate what is causing the error on your side. Still, I must note that JustMock is not yet tested against Windows 10. However, this is included in the backlog and we can assure you that there will be a working and supported version for the Microsoft's official release.

Nevertheless, we will keep you updated of our findings and possible solutions for this specific issue in this thread. Stay tuned.

Could you provide the Telerik JustMock status update for Windows 10? We were successfully using JustMock Lite it to test a UAP application on Preview Build 10166 by including the DLL directly. However, Windows 10 RTM Build 10240 now has issues on both fronts:

1 - The Telerik.JustMock Lite DLL can be referenced from the UAP Unit Test App, but tests still fail execution.

Test Outcome: Failed
Result StackTrace: at Telerik.JustMock.Mock.Create[T]()

System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040).

 2. The JustMock NuGet Package still cannot be installed.

JustMock 2015.2.715.1 is not compatible with UAP,Version=v10.0.
JustMock 2015.2.715.1 is not compatible with UAP,Version=v10.0 (win10-arm).
JustMock 2015.2.715.1 is not compatible with UAP,Version=v10.0 (win10-arm-aot).
JustMock 2015.2.715.1 is not compatible with UAP,Version=v10.0 (win10-x86).
JustMock 2015.2.715.1 is not compatible with UAP,Version=v10.0 (win10-x86-aot).

Hello Anton,

We're still assessing the effort required. It seems that it will be relatively easy to get JustMock Portable (JustMock for Devices) to work with UAP, but it is only available in the paid version of JustMock. JustMock Lite will require a substantial effort to get it to run in a UAP, so it's highly likely that it won't be done for Q3.

The task for the UAP support couldn't make it to the Q1 2016 roadmap. We are still collecting requests for it. You can vote for the feature request in our portal to increase its priority.
