Issue 1:
I have VS 2008 running on Server 2008 R2 x64. Every time I start Visual Studio, I get a notification of a VSHOST crash and the faulting module is identified as the CodeWeaver module (which I believe is part of JustMocks).

Issue 2:
To install JustMocks on 2K8 i had to start a command line prompt in admin mode from which I could run the installer otherwise you get a message stating 'This JustMock package requires Visual Studio'

Issue 3:
I have Telerik Reporting, JustCode and JustMocks installed on my dev machine. This takes up a large part of my main menu bar in Visual Studio. Could you please rationalize the usage of the main menu to one item under which all Telerik products are installed.

Hi ColinBlakey,
First, thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to evaluate JustMock.

1) We've already fixed this annoying problem and the fix will be available in the next JustMock build (later this week).

2) Yes, unfortunately JustMock requires such permissions as during the installation we register the profiler which is used in the "elevated" mode (when mocking static, final, sealed, etc.). We'll try to change the installation and provide a better message when the installation is run without enough permissions.

3) In the latest versions of Telerik Reporting, the reporting menu should be placed inside a top level Telerik menu (where we place OpenAccess menus and the Ajax / Winforms / etc. Visual Studio extensions' menus). We'll seriously consider putting the JustMock menu there for the official release of JustMock. Thanks a lot for suggesting that.

Kind regards,
Chris

Chris,

Thanks for fixing issue 1 and considering issue 3.

Issue 2. Can you do more than issue a message please. It's pain to elevate privileges as a user when installing from an MSI as there is no 'Run as Admin' on the right click menu or at least not that I've found. The elevate privileges request has to come from within the MSI to which the user can respond and allow the elevation.

Thanks

Colin

Hi Colin,
I guess we could do that. We'll investigate this issue further and try to provide a better solution.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
