Hello,
On device (tested with Android 2.3) it does work. In the simulator, clicking and dragging the trackball does not create any change. I can enter a number in the box left of the slider's track, which results in a correct change of the trackball and also use arrow-up and -down keys to change the number in the box. My guess is that the slider does not respond to a mouse click/drag event but only to a finger tap/drag event.
Cheers
