It works if I run BookvarWPF.exe from Programfiles/AVAXO/Bookvar but not when using the default Bookvar.exe

Hi all,
We have also identified this issue on our end. It seems that the boot strapper executable (Bookar.exe) has some issue in Windows 7. We have not identified the root cause for this, but we think that the problem is due to the splash screen implementation we are currently using.
We are going to further look into this issue and provide an updated version of the installer. Until then please use BookvarWPF.exe instead as other users has suggested.

On Win7 32:
When I run bookvar.exe it crashes immediately.
BookVarWPF.exe works until I click on "new map".
It then creates the new map and crashes.

Hello Martin,
We have not yet dedicated time to investigate this issue further. We believe it has something to do with our "legacy" bootstrapping process, but this is just a guess. If you like you can download Bookvar source code and try to debug this locally on your side. We are willing to give access rights to the codeplex repository to anyone who wants to contribute features or bug fixes.
Kind regards,

Hi Michael,
We have no news to share. The project has not been canceled, but we have not dedicated any resources to work on it. What we have done is open sourcing it on CodePlex so that guys from the community (like you) can work on it and submit patches.
