Issues with time labels on X-Axis being incorrectly spread out

Are there any known issues with labels having variable intervals between their values when using DateTime values on the X-Axis?

This is best understood by reviewing the attached screenshot. Notice how the labels are:

1-2009
3-2009 
5-2009
6-2009 -- this is only one month away from the last value
8-2009
10-2009

What would cause such behavior, any ideas?

Based on the supplied information, it is hard to determine what is causing this unwanted behavior. 
Would you paste your series mapping code and business object code?
Even better would be if you could give us a runnable project, in a formal support ticket. We will debug it locally, and advise you further.
