Is there a known size limit for WebAii tests?
The tool becomes slower and slower as the test becomes larger. At about 100 steps the tool crashes Visual Studio 2008. This has happened twice now ...
I would suppose that a 100 steps should be well within normal use for a tool like WebAii.

Hello Espen Harlinn,
First, no there is no specific size limit to tests built using WebUI. We've taken steps to insure that the tool should be just as responsive no matter how many steps you have in your test. What are the hardware spec's on your machine (processor, total memory, amount of free HDD space, etc.) you're using?
I'd like to try loading the test project you've put together and see how it behaves on our machine. Please zip up your solution into a zip file, then open a support ticket on this issue and attach the .zip file. Once I receive it I'll load it up and see how it behaves here.
Sincerely yours,
Cody

Dell Latitude E6400
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
T9550 2.66GHz
4 GB RAM
Windows XP sp3
Visual Studio 2008
I'm building a set of tests for a solution that is built on top of DotNetNuke.
Wheter I'm able to provide you with the specific tests is something I will have to take up with the owner of the product I'm writing tests for.

Hello Espen Harlinn,
I can understand the sensitivity to IP. Feel free to scrub the tests of any sensitive information. Also we might be able to work an NDA.
Also, what is the amount of free HDD space? Is it possible we're running into virtual memory (aka pagefile) issues?
All the best,

I am also evaluating the product, and I am seeing excactly the same problem.
When downloading the newer version WebUITestStudio_2009.2.924_trial.msi, it says I am having only 1 day left for testing.
I feel this is too limited time, considering the trouble in the evaluation product.
Is it possible to extend the evaluation perode ?
Regards,
Swan
