We are trying to see if the Telerik control can be used for our application.

    1. Is there a way to add "Text Form Field" ?
    2. Also noticed that "doc" format is not supported. Do you have any plans in the future?

    Hello Vimal,

Text form field, legacy forms in general and content controls are not supported in RadRichTextBox.

Overall, you can get an idea of the supported content in the document from our online demo and documentation.

When it comes to the "policy" on import is that if the content in the file has a parallel in RadDocument's model, the respective document element is created. The same applies to the export - if the format supports the persistence of such a functionality, the document elements are exported as similar elements in the specific format.

At this point, we are not considering the implementation of content controls and legacy forms.

As for the doc import/export, we have this feature logged, but it has not been scheduled yet, so it is not clear if and when it would be implemented.

    Hi Guillaume,
This is a complex feature which requires internal changes in the document model, thus we don't provide such extensibility point.

The closest you can get with the current version is to insert InlineUIContainers, but they have some limitations: most importantly cannot be copied and cannot be preserved in any of the document formats (including the native XAML format).

    Kind regards,
    the Telerik team
