[Solved] Is jQuery worth its own product topic in the Telerik forum ?

 Hi,
   I do understand that most of the post in the Telerik forum are specific for Telerik issues, and of course this is rightfully so. 
   I know there are many places outside of the Telerik forum where we can seek jQuery information. 
   There have been times when using jQuery for me was directly related to Telerik controls, and, I post those issues under the correct control topic.

   But there are times when there is a gray line when struggling with a jQuery problem while coding a Telerik solution. The line is that the issue is not that a Telerik control is not working because of jQuery, but that there may be a better way to handle the situation with a combination of Telerik functionality with or without jQuery . 

   JQuery is used across many products. It would be nice to just see jQuery issues that the Telerik community is working with. 
   And to have a place (forum topic) to see issues, examples and solutions that relate to jQuery with Telerik specifically. Did I just say the samething?

Thank you for the suggestion.

I see your point, however having a separate jQuery sub-forum would be a bit confusing since the usage of jQuery along with our MVC extensions or RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX is not mandatory but optional. Generally, it is up to the developer to decide whether using jQuery syntax or taking advantage of the client API of our components would be more accurate.

I agree that a central repository for samples and solution using jQuery or other kind of javascript/javascript libraries would be useful. That is why for this purpose you can use this very forum section (i.e. General discussions). Same would be for RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX.

   I understand your points. 
   I could be wrong, but I think to your point about the Client API's, a jQuery topic might help people to understand when, why and where to use either jQuery OR the client API. 
   Even though jQuery is optional, Telerik uses quite a bit of it. Of course for good reason. And since it is used so much with Telerik, jQuery is still its own product. A central place that shows the use of $("#Grid").html for debugging the dom for instance is valuable to know across the Telerik MVC product line.  
    It seems like it would be an advantage to have jQuery singled out. I am thinking that there are people looking to see just how to handle Telerik controls in many creative ways aside from the demo examples. Having one place to go is good for anyone using any Telerik MVC control. Also, if jQuery had its own topic,  even non telerik users might contribute, and this would give even more knowledge about how to apply jQuery to Telerik controls.
  
    But, I do understand that you cant make a topic for every third party product out there - or, could you ? :-)
