Is it possible to change the format of the default pop up editor?

Can i change the default layout of the pop up editor that the mvc grid creates, so it is more left to right laid out?
I.e
instead of

FieldName
Input Field      Validation Message
FieldName
Input Field Validation Message
FieldName
Input Field Validation Message
FieldName
Input Field Validation Message

It would be
FieldName Input Field Validation Message
FieldName Input Field Validation Message
FieldName Input Field Validation Message

I would like to do this for all the models, and not have to create a custom editor view for each one.
