Hi Telerik!

Is it possible to insert different object types in an existing .docx file in radrichtextbox? Like in MS Word 2010, we can insert different file formats(pdf, doc, jpg) to an opened .docx file? It is like merging different file types inside the radrichtextbox.

I also have the same problem. I want to achieve the same functionality as MS Word's "Insert Object..." and after selecting a type of object, say, an Adobe Acrobat Document, it can directly be appended on to the RadRichTextBox.

Hello guys,

The functionality you point out in MS Word is related to COM technology, which is supported in Silverlight only in very limited scenarios. We will discuss with our development team whether this feature can be added to our to-do list, however currently there are lots of other features with higher priority that we have already planned, thus I am not able to specify when eventually this feature will be introduced.
Let us know if you have other suggestions.

All the best,
Iva

Hi Vincent,

Yes, it is possible. You can test it in our online demo and see the code by changing the tabs in the top right corner.
There is also a demo showing how you can insert images or text when you drag and drop them from a TreeListView (or any other control in a similar way) in this forum thread using RadDragAndDropManager.

Greetings,
