Is there a way to accomplish this the same way that Edit/ Add work?
For instance, I do not want the confirmation message to pop up, but would rather have the 'Edit' button change to 'Ok' or 'Delete' and the 'Delete' button change to 'Cancel'.

This is not possible. The delete confirmation can only be disabled.
