"I have an complaint..."

I've just been playing with the JC functionality in Javascript and had a page that looked like ss1.gif (attached).

The "Just Code | Formate Code" option did something, well, less than optimal? See ss2.gif. I was wondering if that is what you'd expect?

Hello Stuart,

This looks like a problem that we have with our Javascript formatting functionality. We have logged it for fixing.

No fix for this in build 1217.

Any idea of a timescale, this one is bugged me enough to have to stop using the "Format Code" altogether.

Hello Stuart,

Sorry for the late response on this. Lately we have been quite occupied with other things like VS 2010 support, memory and speed optimization and others. Stuff that we considered as with higher priority. However, things that are causing such kind of discomfort immediately raise a red flag.
We've looked at the problem and in the next released build (end of this or next week) will be fixed.

Best wishes,

Deyan,

When you're fixing this problem you might want to look at what it's doing to <style> tags.

JC's "Format Code" command turned ss1.gif in to ss2.gif.

All the best,
