I've had several requests from my clients to enable image annotations/editing in my apps.

Are there plans to include an ImageEditor control in the UWP suite with the ability to include text, draw shapes and lines?

Hi Greg,

We definitely have plans to introduce ImageEditor Control to UWP suite. The control will offer standard tools for image editing as well as various extension points to plug custom editing and drawing tools as needed.

Currently, the ETA for the control for UWP is after Q2, most likely in the second half of the year.

Hello Greg,

Thank you for getting back to us. I can confirm that we do have plans to implement Image editor for UWP, however it will not be released by the end of the year. In order to track its progress you can follow this feedback item.
