This thing is not working at all. What a crap thing !!!!!!!!
Moreover firing up simulator to run the project is also not showing up anything.

It is actually not tap only but more like tap-and-hold-for-one-sec.
It may be hard to get use to it but once you figure it out it becomes very natural as of my experience.
Do you have a suggestion for better gesture that is very uncommon so chance that someone will want to use it in app are slim enough to avoid conflicts?
As on the simulator issue can you share the steps you are performing so we can reproduce and address your complain.
We are listening our community very much and are open for all constructive suggestions and feedback.

Problem
New window with simulator appears which SHOWS A BLANK SCREEN forever.

Steps With Ion
1) Goto https://app.icenium.com/Mist/Dashboard
2) Open a TestApp (i have previously created testAPP via wizard)
3) Click Run->On Device->icenioun ion
5) Scan bar code on iPhone4 , which is a link to icenium://--- (i have a scanner app)
4) Icenium Apps fires up!!
Problem
--Shows some hello world app which is not my app.
--Icenium Ion is having 2 tabs home/UI Interaction/geolocation.
--Tap and hold nothing happens on any of that above tabs.
You do everything right, but we cannot reproduce it on our side to help us with that can you:
1. For Ion issue can you download this tool for Windows (or this one for OS X) from Apple and with you device connected and selected in tools sidebar there will be Console tab go there.
Please then kill the Icenium Ion and re-scan the QR code to reproduce the issue.
In the tool there is a [Save Console As...] button in lower right of the Console tab.
Save the file and email to support{at}icenium.com.
2. As for Mist simulator when open launch the Developer Tools (pres Ctrl+Shift+J (or Command+Option+J) to bring the JavaScript Console. And refresh the browser window. If there errors please send them to the email above as well.
3. Validate your index.html code with W3 HTML Validator.
4. Last. Uninstall Ion and re-install it from App Store.
