Hello,

It's not the first time that we have this issue with Icenium and as the product will become paying we have concerns about the quality of update that telerik is doing on Icenium.

The problem is the following:
1) Icenium proposes to update
2) We close Icenium
4) We launch Icenium
3) The update is done
5) We have a blank screen, no projects are shown and we're not able to work anymore

Sometimes when we close/re-open Icenium, an update is done (again!) and then it's working.

Icenium also proposes A LOT of updates (~1-2 updates are proposed every day). Why so much updates? 1-2 updates per week should be sufficient.

With all these points and the fact that it will become paying we're wondering if it is worth the price.

I don't know if this is related, but we've a time out pinging this address: (if we ping with 1000 bytes, it's ok)
ping app.icenium.com -l 2000 -t

Kind regards,
Bastien

Ok, just a feedback about the PING. I discussed with our network administrator who proposed me to add a different "route" for the icenium traffic and I'm now able to ping with a size of 2000 bytes BUT this didn't solve the issue.

After the last update (Icenium did already 2 updates this morning), the screen is not blank anymore, I'm now able to see the left-menu (What's new? / Documentation / Suggest Features) BUT the list of projects are still not shown.

Ok, we found a solution to display the list of projects.

1) Go here: C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Telerik\BlackDragon
2) Delete the "cache" folder

We lost all the morning with this problem.... so I hope such kind of problems will not happen once we've to pay for Icenium!

edit: by the way, Icenium proposes a new update, again ;-)

Hello Bastien,

The original problem you've encountered is due to improper upgrade of Graphite, which is forcefully resolved when you delete the Cache folder, so the updated files can be requested and downloaded again.

The constant prompt for update of Graphite means that most likely there is something left that is not updated. As you're the first person to report this and we cannot reproduce it locally, we would need your help. Please download and install FiddlerCap (make sure to enable decrypt HTTPS traffic) and start it prior running Graphite. Then save the session, zip it as an archive and give us a link to it (you can upload it to a free file sharing host). We would also need you to zip and include the Graphite logs located in %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Logs folder just in case.
