Hub tile dos not remember flipped state

I'm using the Hub tile flip capability pragmatically however when the tile is flipped and the page is navigated away from, upon returning to the page the visual element of the tile resets back to it's default state but the "isFlipped" property retains the original value.

I've tried several attempts to reset and reapply the correct visual representation but on returning to a page setting "isFlipped" pragmatically is ignored as if there is a separate internal property to control the flipped visual

Any ideas?
