HRESULT E_FAIL when opening in blend

Hello !!

I'm trying to implement this new control in our product.
I´m opening the telerik example project in blend and the page FirstLook.xaml in PhoneTextBox catalog to create my own style from this component. But all the time I´m getting this HRESULT E_FAIL error has been returned from a call to an COM component ?

Am I doing something wrong or have I not installed the 2012.2 correctly ?

Hello Fredrik,

Thank you for contacting us.

I tried to reproduce the issue that you are describing but I couldn't. What I did was, I opened the Examples solution in Blend, then the FirstLook.xaml, right-clicked on the UserName TextBox, then EditTemplate -> Edit a Copy and Blend created a new Template for the TextBox, I modified it and it was correctly applied. Is this case not working on your side, or you are doing something differently? You can also try to add just a RadTextBox to a new project and edit the original template and it should work.

Hello !!

Now I have tried to reboot my computer and tryied it again with no luck.
I also created an new project and just added an radtextbox with the same negative result.
I provided an screendump of the error.

Dont know what else I can do to fix this. If you guys dobnt have it it must be something in my environment.

I'm guessing that it is something with your environment. Could you tell us a bit more about it. What version of the Windows Phone sdk are you using and do you have the Q2 release of RadControls? Also, is this exception only occurring with RadTextBox or with our other controls as well?

And thanks for trying to help me.
I'm using WIndows Phone SDK 7.1 with RadControls_for_WindowsPhone_2012_2_0607_DEV.msi
I´m having no problem to remove the RadTextBox and replace it with a regular textbox in my simple testproject.
If it is for any help I'm getting the same error when opening the page FirstLook.xaml in the catalog ListPicker in your sample solution but not when I´m opening FirstLook.xaml in MessageBox catalog or FirstLook.xaml in NumericUpDown (guess those are only using buttons and not containgen radtextboxes).
Getting the error also in the catalog DataBoundListBox (FirstLook.xaml) etc.

Hello Fredrik,

I'd like you to confirm also that you have uninstalled any previous versions of RadControls for Windows Phone before installing the Q2 2012 Release, as we have occasionally encountered some assembly mismatch exceptions when more than one version is installed simultaneously. If you haven't done so prior to installing Q2, please uninstall all versions of RadControls for Windows Phone and then install the fresh copy of Q2 2012.

Hi !!

Unfortunate I have uninstalled the previouse version before installed this one.
Don´t know whats going on ....... I can compile and run my project with the new version no problem, but can´t get the GUI to work in Blend.
Version of Telerik components inside my project is 2012.2.607.2040.

But I also found this thread from Microsofts expression forum http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/blend/thread/b1670478-ae9c-4a67-ad3b-ee828363ca58/

I will try to install the ReSharper and see if I can see anything wrong.....
